For 10 years Jim Denevan has used the beaches in North California as a canvas for his art. His art and the beach is a dance for him, meditative in quality. It also seems to be a place of healing. His passion is for surfing, though anyone who creates such large-scale artwork only to have it washed away by the ocean, must have a passion for creation as well.
