“It’s going to be a challenge. People are going to wonder how is a deaf person going to dance? How are they going to follow the music?… As a deaf person I use my body to communicate every day. So I think that’s a plus.”
– Marlee Matlin
It would be a challenge for most celebrities to learn to dance and compete in “Dancing with the Stars.” To do that when yo can’t hear the music would be even more challenging. Yet that’s what Marlee is doing.
The clip below has two parts. The first part shows Marlee and her dancing partner sharing a bit about themselves and training for the show. The second part shows them competing on the show.
