Randy Pausch, the Carnegie Mellon professor who became well known for his ‘Last Lecture’ passed away on Friday, July 25, 2008. His lecture about living, can be viewed below.

(The lecture is 1 hour and 16 minutes in length.)
The Last Lecture book

“I fear nothing and expect only good.”
- Peace Pilgrim
Imagine this…
You tell your friends you’re going to walk across the country and they think you’ve lost your mind.
You give up all your worldly possessions to fulfill your life mission.
You start your pilgrimage on January 1, 1953 at the age of 44 and end it 25,000+ miles later in 1981.
You trust that people will house and feed you along the way.
Could (or would) you do that to fulfill your mission on earth?
To hear more from the remarkable “Peace Pilgrim” watch this video from an interview in 1977 below:
“Never give up. Keep your thoughts and your mind always on the goal.”
- Tom Bradley
Never give up on your dream and be ready to take your shot when it comes. Maybe you’ll experience what Jason McElwain did. You’ll have to watch the video below to know more.
If a mobile phone sales person with a chipped tooth stood in front of an audience and judge Simon Cowell (yes that Simon…) at a UK talent show - what do you think would happen? Watch the video below to find out. It may inspire you to live your gift. You may need some tissues…
We’re all diamonds - we’re just in various stages of unearthing and polishing.
What talent do you have that just may need some buffing?

“It’s never too late (or early) to start living your dreams.”
- Sue
Finding out unique talents is a process. For some it’s obvious right from the start what their gift is. This is especially true when it’s an obvious gift like playing the piano, singing, or athletics. For others it takes longer to discover their gifts, especially if it’s not easily definable - such as when the gift has to do with how we think or conceptualize things.
Here’s a video clip from the “Britain’s Got Talent” TV show. 6-year old Connie Talbot is showcased. Watch the judges faces change when they realize what they are witnessing. In Simon’s words…(yes THAT Simon)… ’she was pitch-perfect’…. I don’t think you can teach pitch to anyone, can you? Isn’t that just a gift you’re born with?
According to www.news.com.au (in 2007) Simon ‘preliminarily agreed to sign her up to a seven-figure deal with his own record label, Sony BMG.’
What’s your dream? What is one step you can take towards living it?
