Movies take us away into different worlds. So much so sometimes that we’re shocked when we look at our watch and three hours have seemingly zoomed right by.
If you pay attention, some movies contain life lessons. Here are three of the best movie quotes and their advice on how to be successful in life.

Our actions reveal the truth about what we value. How many times have you heard someone say they value health yet they continue to eat food that isn’t conducive to good health?!
As for ability, you may have the skills to play an instrument masterfully, excel at a sport, or lead a team or nation. Natural talent will only take you so far unless you choose to develop and nurture it. If you choose to let that talent sit there undeveloped – what does that say about you?
Plus talents can be used to destroy or hurt people instead of making the world a better place. It’s up to us to choose to become who we truly have the potential to be.
2. Forrest Gump and Attitude

Would you really like to know what is going to happen in your life before it happens? What if you knew the day you were going to die and how? Would you react differently if it were in 2 years vs 40?
While we may try to control life and what happens, that can result in a very fearful and tightly wound person. To be more expansive we need to be able to connect with and trust the universe (or for some God or other religious deities) to guide us. This allows us to relax into life and enjoy it more.
No matter what happens in our life, we can choose how we respond. We get to choose how we handle ourselves, what we think, and what we say. When we trust that we can handle whatever happens and look forward to each day with curiosity, a lightness can enter into our lives.
3. Happy Feet and Who We Are

Remember the little penguin in “Happy Feet” who could not stop dancing? It was his way to express the music he felt inside. We each have music inside us waiting to be expressed. Some of us are further along in the process than others.
Regardless of where you are in the process, there is still time to play your song. Just sit still and listen. It may take a few tries (or many) but you will begin to hear it.
